My cousin was having her first baby, so it was a perfect opportunity to get started on my second quit. I started seeing several of these herringbone quilts on Pinterest (Here and Here). I loved the simple clean look of the quilt, but with a little twist in pattern. I decided this would make the perfect quilt for her!
I found some fabrics from Missouri Start Quilt Co. The two fabrics on the left are flannels, and the two on the right are Kona Solids.
I got to work cutting out all the HSQ’s.
I just had to show you this perfect corner… they don’t all look this awesome, but no one has to know!
The only quilting I did was a straight line 1/4 inch from both sides of the vertical seams. I did do a little quilting on the accent arrow just to help it pop out a little more.
My second attempt at binding wasn’t going so well, I ended up ripping it off and trying it again.
In the end I think it turned out really cute!
This is the quilt on the chair in the nursery! Matches perfect.
This quilt was featured on the Missouri Star Quilt Co Facebook Page, which I thought was pretty neat!
